This flow is VERY underrated

Hey it’s Dylan from The Juice.

Today I’m going to break down a flow that 90% of ecommerce stores don’t have in place but can actually have a big impact on sneaky sales you otherwise would have missed.

The Flow?

It’s called the Site Abandon Flow and it’s triggered when someone lands on your site but doesn’t take any action at all.

Think of them as window shoppers.

We need a way to take them from peering through the glass and walking by to getting them into your store and browsing your selection.

Why It’s Important:

Someone browsing your site but not taking any action most likely means they are top of funnel leads with not a whole lot of buyers intent (for now).

By sending them your site abandon email we invite them to take the next step and view a product or category they might not have even known you even sold from their brief peek through the window.

Once they land on a specific product or category, it can cause them to explore deeper.

This leads to either a purchase OR moves them further down your funnel, into your browse or cart abandonment flows where they get more detailed content tailored towards them and the product they’ve shown interest to.

What It Looks Like:

One email fired 30 mins - 4 hours (test) after somebody abandons your site.

Remember this email is not maximizing conversions off the bat, It’s about pushing your customer further down the funnel, so broad is better.

Keep it straightforward with a heading like “Still on the hunt for comfy footwear?” or “Still poking around?”

Invite them to take a look another look and then showcase some bestsellers or categories.

Setting It Up:

Trigger: When someone is active on site

Profile filters:

• Viewed product 0 times since starting this flow

• Added to cart 0 times since starting this flow

• Checkout started 0 times since starting this flow

• Placed order 30 times since starting this flow

• Has not been in this flow in the last 30 days
