You're Overcomplicating It
It's easier than you might think...

The Juice

Hey It’s Dylan from The Juice.
Most email accounts we audit overcomplicate their first welcome email.
If it’s not fully dialed, It can confuse, overwhelm and frustrate our customer.
Here’s What You Need To Do 👉🏻
Give them what they want:
Your first email in your welcome flow will almost always be your highest performing flow email. This is because people want the discount you’re offering through your pop-up.
Give it to them on a silver platter. Make the discount the clearest thing on the email, make sure they don’t have to scroll to find it, and offer them a big button to get back on your site.

Now your hero sections out the way, here’s how the rest of the email should look:
Brief brand info and/or powerful testimonial:
3-4 sentences max, highlight the problem you solve for the customer.
Alternatively use a strong testimonial that helps overcome a common objection or highlight a specific feature of your brand.
Introduce Bestsellers:
Showcasing a few of your bestsellers can be really helpful in pointing our customer in the right direction.
We don’t want to overwhelm them with choices so don’t showcase more than four. Also, make sure each of them have a seperate and specific CTA.
That’s it for Email #1! It’s main purpose is to deliver their discount and get them back onto our site! We’ll educate them more about our brand later down the flow.
Metrics to aim for with Email #1:
Open rate: 50%+
Click rate: 10%+
Placed Order Rate: 10%+

If you’re missing the mark on any of these, you could be leaving $$ on the table!!

Dylan
